When is a phone not a phone?

When it is something else of course! The advent of VoIP twenty plus years ago severed the reliance upon dedicated desk handsets cabled to the wall. Hosted or cloud based services also facilitate the use of multiple simultaneous log in for users, desk, mobile and home extensions for example, all of which can share the same extension number. Best of all however, and to return to the original question, IP Voice works upon any device with a microphone, speaker and an internet connection. That means the mobile, a tablet, a desktop or laptop, a smart watch or even an electric car can all be a “handset”. This means that “dead time” where you were out of reach for some types of calls are no more. If you have internet, you have telephones.

If you happen to be in your car, or in the country or even in another country there are also no charges for internal calls. Integration is truly a fact between all devices and between video voice and data. If you would like to know more about what this means for your business, get in touch with us.
